Shalini Singh completed her Ph.D. (19 May, 2023) in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, specializing in Smart Materials, Additive Manufacturing, and Mechatronics. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Alberta, where she focuses on advanced metal additive manufacturing and material characterization.

My research focuses on advancing metal additive manufacturing by addressing key challenges in process optimization, material properties, and in-situ monitoring. I specialize in integrating smart materials such as NiTi and Cu-based shape memory alloys into additively manufactured structures, enabling the development of high-performance components for aerospace, biomedical, and industrial applications.
