Ullah Butt
Sajid secured his Mechanical Engineering undergraduate degree from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan in 2006 followed by Masters and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Arts et Metiers, ParisTech, Metz France in 2008 and 2012 respectively. He served as an Assistant Professor at NUST, Pakistan before joining the University of Alberta and our group as a visiting professor and then as a Research Associate in 2022.

I have performed my research in advanced manufacturing with the focus on hybrid manufacturing, metal and polymer additive manufacturing, process and system optimization, process planning, analytical modelling of the mechanical systems, IIoT, machine learning, and digital twin. I have successfully supervised 19 graduate students and published 19 journal and 20+ conference papers.
