Andrea Mariette earned her Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Electrical Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering Management at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. She joined our team as a Graduate Research Assistant in September 2023.

My research focuses on temperature correction in multi-material systems using image processing techniques. I work on improving infrared camera accuracy by analyzing thermal images and adjusting temperature readings based on emissivity variations. By refining temperature measurement methods, my work enhances the reliability and precision of thermal imaging for industrial applications, including additive manufacturing and other high-temperature environments.
